Goal
Immunoassay for the quantitative in vitro determination of creatine kinase MB (CK-MB) in serum, plasma (EDTA-K2, lithium heparin) or venous blood.
CK-MB indicates cardiac injury in acute infarction, rises in the period from 4 to 6 hours, reaches a peak in 12 to 36 hours and normalizes between 3 and 4 days, aiding in diagnosis and evaluation.
